This time of year is a busy one for all businesses on Cape Cod, and the cannabis industry is no different. Here’s a rundown of what’s been happening.
4/20 EforAll Cannabis Pitch Contest and Suncrafted Grand Opening
Cape Cod native and Board Member, Tim McNamara celebrated the grand opening of Suncrafted Cannabis with an event on 4/20 at his cannabis dispensary and cultivation facility in (sp) Middleborough, MA. There were numerous special deals, Suncrafted swag, and vendor pop ups.
Tim creates community with his business ventures. As part of his grand opening, Tim hosted an E for All pitch contest for cannabis adjacent businesses. Anna spoke of how she worked with Tim for the first E for All grants to cannabis businesses. In 2018, Anna’s E for All award helped her publish her book.
Five years later, a dozen hopeful cannabis businesses had displays and a few minutes to explain their idea. Spencer Knowles represented the CoCC as a judge on the panel. Team Green Finger , 9th Gardner and Bud Bowl won awards for their product pitches in categories covering craft hash, improved testing standards with a focus on terpenes and a handy smoking tool for the masses made right here in MA!

6/1 CC Grow Lab Launch Event & Visit
Cape Cod Grow Lab was proud to show off their new cultivation facility. They are on the final leg before cultivation can begin. The Board was excited to see the different grow rooms. The facility automation will allow the team to dial in specific nutrients and environments.
We were especially excited that large windows allowed people to look in on the grow in progress. The facility is designed to allow guests to tour the cultivation facility and see the grow in progress.

We are all very excited for the first regulated cannabis grow here on Cape Cod. Craft cannabis is projected to be a strong draw in the 17 billion dollar cannabis tourism market.
That evening, many gathered to as Cape Cod Grow Lab sponsored Cannabis Industry Night at The Alley in Orleans. Many new faces enjoyed great BBQ & bowling and cannabis

6/3: 2nd Annual Plover Fest!
On Saturday, June 3, 2023, the Piping Plover celebrated their 2nd Anniversary with an event called Plover Fest. The all day event featured live music, food, vendor pop ups, artists booths, games, swag, and more! Adults 21+ enjoyed this non-consumption event.
The Cannabis on Cape Cod team was Board members Spencer and Brian who kicked off Plover Fest ‘23 with pastries and coffee from Blue Willow. The afternoon featured the Lewis Bros Ice Cream Truck. Coast Cannabis and other brands provided product info and non-infused samples.
Pan Neubean Steel drums created a chill vibe’ and DJ Emerson kicked up the beat at 4:20. Everyone enjoyed the raffles, games, swag, and other giveaways.
