It was great to see so many in our Cape and cape-adjacent cannabis community at NECANN, the New England Cannabis Convention. Many Cape Codders attended the annual gathering in Boston, held this year on March 10-13 at the Hynes Convention Center.
Suncrafted Cannabis, In Good Health, and Coast Cannabis had popular booths showcasing their products. Cape-owned Eagle Eyes Transportation’s booth featured Montel Williams, a TV personality who uses cannabis to manage his MS for 20 years.
NECANN also hosts seminars on cannabis and related topics next to the exhibit hall. Cape Cod local Ellen Brown’s Green Path Training was the official Responsible Vendor Training instructor. There was a good turnout for her Core Curriculum, a 4-hour course required for all cannabis employees.
It was great to see our local women in the new Women’s Lounge. Jeanine of Beach Grass Topicals connected with a mentorship program for women in cannabis that sponsored the space.
Jim Belushi, actor, comedian, musician and commercial cannabis grower and owner of Belushi Farms, delivered the keynote address on Saturday. Belushi highlighted his personal journey in the cannabis industry while fielding questions from NECANN co-founder and President Marc Shepard.
Suncrafted was the big winner taking home trophies for their solventless live rosin. Suncrafted’s Mountain Top Mint took 1st place and Garlic Breath Fresh Press was 3rd in the non-solvent concentrate category. Congratulations to Tim and his team.
It was a successful and enjoyable weekend for people in Cannabis on Cape Cod.
